The film
stock that I am using for my experiment are parts of a 35mm trailer given to me
from a work colleague who was working as a projectionist at a large cinema
chain but was sadly made redundant after the chain made the switch over from
35mm projecting to DCP (Digital Cinema Package) in 2012.
I had
mentioned to him at work that I was studying film and he asked me if I wanted a
35mm trailer that he had acquired just before he left as they where being
thrown out, I took him up on his offer and decided that I would use it for a
future project. Since the digitisation of analog film I wanted to explore the idea that the old film stocks could once again be reused and recycled in order to make the process sustainable.
The content
of this trailer is of G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation (2012), G.I Joe was a series of highly successful action figures created by Hasbro in the early 1980's.

If you are however wanting to conduct this experiment yourself then you can use 35mm leader or other trailers that are available via eBay
